A pellet burning insert is very similar to a pellet burning stove, but made specifically to be installed inside of an existing fireplace to increase its efficiency. Venting configuration of the pellet burning insert is very similar to that of the wood burning insert. It consists of flexible and/or rigid components, runs through the existing flue all the way up to the very top of the chimney and terminates with a cap. Exact venting configuration will largely depend on the model selected, size and length of the chimney.
